Biography

Topi Karhunen was born in 1986 in Vantaa, a city next to Helsinki, Finland.

Already in his early age he was interested in music. The very first bands he listened to at the age of six

were bands such as Guns n' roses and Bon jovi. He was pretending to play a guitar basically

with any object he could find. He moved to Vaasa with his dad and sister when he was seven years old.

A year later his dream came true and his dad bought him his very first electrical guitar.

His dad started to teach him how to play and they were jamming together playing music from bands such as

Ccr, The eagles, The shadows and lot of finnish music.

His first "gig" was when he was nine or ten years old. It was at his grandma's rheumatism society's Christmas party.

And he even got paid! The biggest pay check he had ever earned with his music.

Later on he heard his sister listening to Metallica and that changed his life. Metal music had a huge impact on him

and he started to listen to all kinds of metal. His first metal band was called Eternally damned formed in early 2000's.

Topi played the guitar and did the vocals as well. They recorded an album at their friend's place and played few gigs as well.

After they broke up he formed another band with his friends. That band was called Lethal. They played together about 10 years

until they decided to quit. The last band he joined was Wolftopia. They published an album and were performing live.

After awhile he became frustrated. Gigging and playing songs written by someone else didn't give any satisfaction

no longer. He was the only one in the band who had family at that point and had different priorities.

It was hard but the right decision to quit the band.
